Your quilt is gorgeous!!! Can't wait to see the quilting!!! Love that fabric! What you and Bob did for Sugar just melted my heart. A true Thanksgiving story! We took in a stray dog right before Thanksgiving about 5 years ago. It wasn't the right time for us, but we found a lovely home for her. She left us a parting thank you... she chewed a hole in our couch!!! LOL!!! Oh well, I ended up with a new couch! :-)

As a cat lover, I was touched by your caring for Sugar. Unfortunately many of our little friends are mistreated or left to fend for themselves in the cold. Fortunately there are some people like you and Mr Squash who care! Have a blessed Thanksgiving and give Sugar a scratch behind the ears for me!

We have a stray alley cat that all the neighbors look out for and feed too, found her a bed at the goodwill last year which see uses but even after 4 years we can't get with 6 feet of her although we do know she feels safe here. God bless and have a nice holiday.

Love that quilt! I use Hubby's eye for layout, too. With a touch of colorblindness - he sees value over color and can spot those blocks that are badly placed in the blink of an eye.

What a lovely thing you're doing for Sugar. She's lucky to have met you. For years, our neighbours would take in all of the neighbourhood strays - cats left behind when their owners moved, or dogs whose owners died or moved into nursing homes and couldn't keep them. They had a "pet condo" in their car port made of stacked plastic milk crates with blankets inside for the cats to curl up in. I don't see the condo in their car port anymore, but all of the cats in the neighbourhood still head over there, so they must still have food dishes out.

Your quilt is awesome! Totally love the fabric, color, block combination. Sugar is sweet as can be and so very lucky to have the Squashes for her new family.
