Interesting Block

Short post today.  This is the 10th of 11 blocks for my Cottage Charm BOM.

Once again, kind of washed out and not very colorful, but I'm hoping it all comes together in the end.  This block is called Magnolias.  I love the little folded centers which I've never made until now.  It definitely is an interesting block.

My doc told me today that my lungs sound nice and clear which is great news as we're leaving for Colorado next Wednesday!  I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Cute little block-----have a nice trip to Colorado. We lived there during our Air Force days, had two children born at the AF Academy hospital. Love Colo. Spgs.

Enjoy your trip! I grew up in Aurora and Colorado Springs and my Dad had us out camping and fishing almost every nice weekend. Beautiful country though I prefer Calif. weather!

Love your block and what great news you got from your doc ;-))

Perhaps your quilt will appear "blended" instead of "washed out". Might just turn out better than you think. So glad you're on the mend.

Very very pretty block! I love the "viney" look. Glad your lungs are healing and you will be feeling stronger no doubt by the trip date!

That is an interesting block. What I like best is that there are very few points to match. Looking forward to seeing it all put together. Have a nice trip.

I have some of the bug fabric in where the bugs are red. I have had it for years. Just a fat quarter but I haven't found a way to use it.
Did you know that there is a term for the quilt you are working on? It is called Low Volume. Here is a link you can see some quilts. I think it is part of the modern quilt work. I am actually participating in a swap.

That is a different block, but I like it. So glad that you had a good report from the doctor. Hope you have a great trip!

Great that you are nearly better. Maybe when the quilt blocks are done you can arrange them so the paler ones are in balance? It does look pretty in itself- like a mat centre.
