Last evening we decided it was time for a little harvest!
We've had a running battle with the squirrels, birds and us to see who will get the grapes first. The grapes are much smaller on the vine than what you see in the store, and since the birds and squirrels are showing interest, I thought it might be time to do a taste test. Lo and behold - they are sweet and juicy and ready to harvest! Here is our first crop of table grapes! I never thought I would see this day. They won't last long!
The Squash House has also produced a bumper crop of carrots this year. Look at these colorful beauties! It's the first time I've grown this rainbow variety. Who knew it would be so easy and inexpensive to grow them compared to what you pay to buy them in the high end grocery stores. Pot Roast, here we come!

Love the colorful carrots; nice fall colors! I'm sure you will enjoy them.
Our grape crop is the best crop we've had in twenty years! And yes, there is a battle with the critters for us also. I'll bet the carrots are wonderful and so good for you too.
What time is dinner cuz I'll be right over!
Love the look of those carrots. I bought a couple of purple bell peppers at our farmers' market yesterday and they were yummy in a salad. I'm going to pick up a few more on Saturday fo sure.
Love those carrots! I like to plant mine in September here because they get sweeter with the frost and you reminded me that it is carrot planting time for me! I did those colors once and actually found that I liked the white and yellow ones the best!
So glad the birds and squirrels left you some. :o) Those are the prettiest carrots. I've never seen such variety. Squash House Farmer's Market is second to none.
Oh, and those carrots taste a whole lot better than what you buy in the store, even the organic ones are not real good. I just replanted more carrots. The colors are so pretty.
Glad you got your grapes before the stinkin' critters. We put some netting over our fig tree and have been getting a handful every other day.
You have to protect your hard days work. lol
Looks yummy! I love fresh produce.
Wonderful harvest. I used to grow rainbow chard in those colours - a lot of fun.
