I am posting this from the Squash House. Mr. Squash stayed home and I came over just for the night to deliver my 3 Bernina's and our precious fly rods. While we have a fantastic moving company, we wanted to bring these prized possessions over ourselves! Here is what the back of my car looked like at 7:30 this morning! You can see two of my sewing machines on the left (one in the blue carrier) and the other is under the Ricoh box!
My Pilot was packed to the hilt with the rest of my studio contents (mostly boxes of fabric), but there was room behind the front seats for the fly rods!
I'm so sorry I haven't been able to visit many blogs this past week. If all goes well next week, I'll have some time in the afternoons to catch up, but I have a feeling from now until December 1st my life is going to be crazy! I am keeping up with email right now, but that's about all I've been able to handle!
Check back again in 2-3 days - I'm going to have a giveaway! It's going to be a fun one, so come back soon!

It's going to be busy for you during the next month...but at least you have the most important things in the car!
So glad you made it safely over the mountains. Lots of snow in ours today. 3 Berninas? Why? LOL
When we move we also take our most prized possessions in our vehicles bz we only trust ourselves to move them! You definitely are going to be busy this month and then some. Moving is such a crazy hard thing to do. Keep us posted!
Things are really busy around your house...good luck with the move...and great job finding a replacement.
Well done -Squash House will soon feel like home now you have your machines and stash with you. :-)
Wonderful news with your replacement. Huge relief for you.
I don't blame you for wanting to transport your precious belongings! I'm thrilled things can be a little bit less stressful for you. :o)
Precious cargo indeed. I bet you enjoyed getting them in place in the new home.
I'm just giddy thinking about YOUR move and new adventures! Sewing and fishing....life doesn't get any better!!!
Great news on your replacement, and the appraisal. It won't be long and you'll be settled into Squash House enjoying your new life.
Congratulations on getting the lady you wanted for your replacement and on your appraisal finally coming through. I love the photos of your car! Thanks for sharing your journey with us.
Have a great weekend.
Whenever I have moved, I too, would pack up my car with things I was afraid would break in a big moving van. That used to be china and dishes and such. (Which I never used anyway) Now,like you,my precious cargo would be my sewing machines.
You are going to have a busy month getting settled in the Squash House. It will be such fun. I'm so happy for you that this has finally happened. Your own house!!!
Thank God for blogs, cuz you will never be far away.
Love ya.
This is the way to move precious cargo! I completely understand
:-)
This new chapter for you and Mr Squash is going to be so exciting.
Such an exciting time. I too would "hand pack/hand carry" the items you decided to not let the movers take. When you have a chance, keep us posted on your move. Looks like the stars have lined up and all is going well. I hope it goes smoothly!

it seems like everyone is busy right now, doesn't it? i feel like i am way behind, too...i'm so happy things are going well for you! it's all coming together, isn't it? ☺
How exciting to start moving your precious possessions!!
Smart to move some of the precious things yourself. So great that you can leave your job knowing it is in good hands. This next little while will be busy but can you believe you are actually moving soon, Candace? So exciting!!
Woo Hoo!! And you're off! Congrats to your replacement at work, nice to leave your work without a second thought. Of course I'll be back for a visit. Still taking notes, lol.
I'm going to sit here and be glad that you're finally going to be in the Squash House soon, but be even gladder that I'M not the one moving.
hehehehe
Treasured possessions need extra special transport! I'd feel the same way probably about my sewing stuff and DH's guitars :)
Glad your top choice is replacing you. That must be a really good feeling to know that someone capable and knowledgeable will be right behind you.
I'm glad you made it home safely! I'd love to see your sewing room in the Squash House once you get settled in!
I'm so glad to hear the appraisal is all done and over - I can hear your sighs of relief *s*
I love seeing all those precious items making their way to their new home. Because our move was so far, I really had to pick and choose the items that I hand carried. I could have easily filled the truck with no room for Hubby or Harper.
