Thursday, Friday and today I've been mostly working non-stop in the yard. We had a portion of a neighbor's tree come down in our yard while we were gone - so along with having to clean up that monstrous mess and then pull all the little trees that sprouted from it's seeds all over the yard and trim all the roses - whew!
I wanted to show you the progress on the new cupboard doors and drawer fronts. Below is a picture with the old doors. We think they were original to the house - some of the doors had warped and there was awful gold hardware on them.
Here are the new doors! Bear in mind that we have yet to paint the actual cabinets as well as fill in the holes from the old hardware. They will be painted the same color as the doors - Spiced Vinegar from Pittsburgh paint. The color compliments the beach glass tiles really well! The upper doors have an arched inset, while the lower doors have a square inset.

Beautiful!
Your cabinets are beautiful! I love the hardware and the shapes on the upper and lower cabinets. The lines are easy to look at and to live with.
Sure hope that Mr. Squash's back is better soon. You are quite the adventurer!
Is it polite to say I love those knobs? It old shop counters (very rare in auctions these days) the drawers had that same fitting in brass- so comfy in your hand. Glad the house is coming along nicely.
I love the brushed nickel and your choice of pulls. I picture delicious meals and wonderful times with new friends and neighbors in your Squash House.
It's looking soooo good Candace!! And I think you did a mighty fine job modeling those handles!
It's looking more and more like home with each visit, Candace.
I hope that Mr. Squash's back gets better real soon. The fish are waiting patiently for the both of you!
Your kitchen is going to look wonderful when it's done...Can't wait to see the finished project!
I love remodeling rooms and seeing old come new again.

Poor Mr Squash, there's nothing worse than a dicky back, I know what that's like, so I feel for him. I just love your new kitchen bench top, it looks so sleek.
Hope Mr Squash feels better. Your kitchen is going to be beautiful. How exciting to see something new everytime you return.
Love it. Can't wait to see the color on the cabinets. I'm picturing a light gold from the paint name. Yes? No?
Hope Mr Squash is feeling better now.

That is exactly what I would do if I would redo my kitchen cabinets. Love them and really love the door/drawer pulls too.
Oh I love them! Love the arch on the tops and not on the bottom, boy do you have a lot of space!! Just beautiful, give that hubby a big hug and hope his back feels better! I hear the fish calling him!!
Well, I didn't see the "before" pictures, but this is very nice. I'll bet you can't wait to be there all the time.
I'll look back in your blog to see some of the beginnings.
