Since we had to be out of the house on Saturday we decided to drive down to IKEA and look for Squash House furniture. Wow. IKEA is like a little city in itself! And Anne, thanks so much for pointing us to the free breakfast deal! Even Ingemar’s yellow VW was parked outside - loaded up high with purchases!
We spent a good deal of time browsing the different departments and looking for good deals. We found a bed frame for the guest room, but realized it wouldn’t fit in our car! Darn - it was exactly what I wanted, but I’m sure there are any number of places closer to the Squash House that have a similar frame - and can deliver!
After IKEA we found ourselves at Fry’s Electronics. Another WOW! And it was just as crowded as IKEA! By the time we finished browsing around it was time to buy groceries and head home.
Yesterday I finished one of my three Christmas in July swap gifts. We’re only allowed to show sneak peaks, so here it is:I’m nearly done with the second gift, and changed my mind on the third - a new pattern is on the way!
I’m afraid my posts this week will be a bit sparse. I’m hoping to have some completed potholders for the swap which I will post, but other than that, there isn’t much going on in the studio right now. Be certain, if anything interesting and post-worthy comes along, you’ll find it here!

I love IKEA furniture. I sure wish there was one closer to me!
I know what you mean about IKEA. Did you go to the fabric department??? I love the sneak peek. Such pretty colors.
Your sneak peek is making me drool, Candace. Love the fabric and colors.
Ikea is a great store. I was there a couple of weeks ago on one of our trips to the BIG city looking for shelves for my sewing studio and coould have spent a million dollars. (sigh) Maybe next trip. LOL
Hang tough on your house. In this market, if there appears to be interest in your property, then that's a good sign. It'll just be a matter of time. My fingers are still crossed.
I love going to Ikea. Was the breakfast actually good? LOL The house will sell! The house will sell! The house will sell!
Too bad about no buyers. They will come.
I will get to go to an Ikea in May. I can't wait.
OOO!! wonder who the sneak peek is for?!!
bummer about the open house, but wow, you have already started your swap gifts, looks cute!!
Ikea, is so overwhelming for me, but I do like the food!!
I can spend hours in Ikea! The closest one to us is over 2 hours away though. Free breakfast?
I love Ikea. . .and I hope you find your bed for the new house !
So. . . it looks like I missed the Christmas in July swap ???? Is it really too late to join ? who is hosting. . .? Darn. . . I hate to miss a party !

I love your Christmas swap, whatever it is! I hope you get to show pictures later? Or at least, maybe we can see what you get!
Those Christmas fabrics look great...I think I know what I'm going to make...just need to get started!
Your trip to Ikea sounds like fun. There aren't any around where I live.
The fabrics you chose for your Christmas swap are gorgeous. Thanks for the sneak peek!
I'm heading over to Ikea later this week - it's such a fun store to just wander.
Oh my goodness I love your sneak peek - is it for me? teehee
I love IKEA. Love it. It's my Swedish House of Worship. So I though I knew All Things Ikea... but I did not know about the free breakfast! Maybe it's just a Renton thing? And Fry's... that's T-man house of worship!
I'm so bummed about your Open House. But I'm still very hopeful for you!!!!
