We are using a company called Grothouse Lumber in Pennsylvania. I first saw their work on an episode of This Old House and later in This Old House magazine. I’ve always had an affinity for wood - my Lithuanian grandfather among other things was a woodworker. (You could even call me a tree-hugger in the literal sense - LOL) I think beautiful wood runs through my veins! I asked for samples of their honey colored stains. See the heart? That is the color I’ve picked. And check the back of the sample - they even “branded” in their signature - too classy! Now I'm going off to figure out what kind of edge treatment I want!

I have a butcher block island, and that is the exact color, love your choice!
That is the exact shade I would have picked as well. Love your 56 drawer chest. I could easily fill those upj X2 in my sewing room..A place for everything and everything in it's place..Louise
Oh it's gorgeous, I so love honey colored woods! Pine and Maple are my favorites, yum!
*mmmmmmm*
Something invigorating yet invincible. Something refreshing and reliable. Something servicable and shapely. Something classic and crisp.
Like I even know! Good luck though.
Candace,
That is a perfect choice. . . in fact, it looks JUST like mine!
Oh boy, one more step closer to being done! Congratulations !
